Maybe we should run something? I'm not a good contest sort of mod (as I've never done one before), but I'd really like to drum up some interest for this comm. Thoughts?

Well, I still have a tremendous prompt list if we want to repurpose some of those for a drabble-off. Maybe that could be a good kick-off event?

I love this idea! I've never run a contest of any sort before, though, so... where would we start?

♥! I'm so psyched about this, and thank you for the rec! And hmm, I'll think a little more and see if I can come up with some kind of idea for a Thing we can do.

On the bright side -- I imagine the fandom's still small enough to qualify for Yuletide! We could probably get things going there, though hopefully by this time next year it'll be busy enough not to qualify anymore. :D

And, ugh, WHY do I not have icons for this show? I need to make a mess of them, clearly, because no one else is going to. >:(

I think for a contest we should start with a prize - maybe Eastwick icons, since there aren't very many running around yet? I see sohotrightnow talking about making some. Do you think we can recruit her? :D

Once we have a prize, we can grab some of the prompts and figure out the shape of the contest. Hrm, rather than try to judge quality we could go by quantity: greatest number of prompts fulfilled (with more than 500 words) wins?

This is the most exciting comm I've joined in ages! I would love to participate in some kind of challenge!

I have just suckered convinced soleta into making icons as prizes for the above-mentioned drabble-athon (or whatever)! I think I have another friend who makes really beautiful icons that I can con get to make some too.

I think making an LJ community is a great idea! I just can't spend as much time over there as I can over here (as DW isn't blocked at work).

Also, I requested Eastwick as a Yuletide fandom! Woo!

I have convinced the gf to make some! And I have a friend who makes really beautiful icons that will probably be willing to throw some together for us too. :D

Oh, speaking of that friend, I may ask her to overhaul the comm - she did a great job with crossovers.
